Interasia Lines was established in Tokyo, Japan, in 1967. As a pioneer in the container shipping industry, the company is dedicated to providing reliable containerized maritime transport services across Asia. Interasia takes pride in its status as one of the region's long-standing container shipping operators. While historically focused on services connecting Japan to Singapore and Malaysia, the company has expanded its scope in recent years to include Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar, and South Korea, with ongoing expansion into other regions. Interasia is driven by the conviction that it must actively broaden its service scope and offer comprehensive solutions while maintaining consistent and reliable service quality.
Interasia Lines (IAL) was founded in Tokyo, Japan, in September 1967. In July 2012, the company established "Shenzhen Interasia International Shipping Agency Co., Ltd." to serve as its general agent for South China, covering major ports across the country. Its primary routes span Asia—including Japan/South Korea, Singapore/Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Indochina Peninsula, and India—and the company offers ample capacity for refrigerated and special containers. Branch offices were subsequently established in Shanghai, Xiamen, and Guangzhou between 2013 and 2014. Interasia Lines operates routes serving key ports across China and maintains a network of branches and agencies throughout Asia; this dense service network has enabled the company to fully realize an integrated model of "networked marketing and unified service." IAL specializes in intra-Asia and Southeast Asia shipping routes, covering locations such as China, South Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Brazil, supported by an extensive network of agents in Japan, China, South Korea, Singapore, and Malaysia.
Interasia continues to deepen its presence in the Chinese market. Starting in South China, the company initially collaborated with local agencies before establishing its Shenzhen branch in 2012. Building on its success in Shenzhen, Interasia established branch offices in Shanghai and Xiamen in 2013, followed by a Guangzhou branch in 2014. In addition to deepening its presence in the South China market, the company opened branches in Qingdao and Ningbo in 2016, further strengthening its service network across China.
